Another contentcache.php/no update problem

Using 0.13 and have been since the site started. Fantastic package with all the right bits where they should be!

Just updated a page and got the fopen contentcache.php cannot open stream error at the top of the page.

Deleted the php file, and used the clear cache button, and that cleared the error, but now updates to pages aren't showing. No errors, no nothing.

The other posts I've looked at didn't go into much detail. I've checked tmp folder permissions, but they're fine and I've never had any other insumountable problems til now.

Any ideas?

Could I try deleting everyting in the tmp folder?
