Can Gallery module use Image Manager images?

I have a client who is using both Albums and Gallery modules.

I have been searching to determine if there is a way to select images already uploaded into folders within Image Manager to create a new gallery in the Gallery module. I am trying to avoid the need to upload some of the sames images again to have them appear in a Gallery.

If anyone has ever done this please let me know or perhaps lead me to a forum solution that I just haven't found.

Don't think you can, don't think you should want to...

But, not being Unix expert, can't you work with symbolic links or something similar (if shell access)?

Thanks for the quick reply. I know a few technical ways to do this but nothing that a client could do using the CMSMS admin panel.
