[News] URL field issues

When I add a news item and use the 'Url' field to give a short URL to the item it load the article in the part of the frontpage where the "content" tag is instead of in the news page itself.

If I remove the Url tage it works properly.

An example of a Url that loads the article in the content column on the frontage:
"http://domain/nieuws/articlename
The normal will:
"http://domain/news/8/35/articlename

The .htaccess file does not seem to have anything to do with it, I tested that by stripping all rules other than the basic pretty url necessities.

Any ideas why this occurs?
