templates and stylesheets don't communicate [solved]

Post by babel »

I've tried several versions of cmsms, but no result. If I make a stylesheet and an template there seems to be no communication between them.

This url http://www.godt-art.nl/index.php?page=homecms shows you that even the default wrong. I renamed the home in homecms, because I want to use home for the website I'm making.

Please tell what's wrong. It's giving for more than a week a nightmare.
Am I forgetting something. To be honest, I never had thes problems before.

When going to your stylesheet I get:
<__html>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>403 Forbidden</TITLE>
</HEAD>
</__body>
<H1>Forbidden</H1>
You do not have permission to access this document.
<P>

- that short error messages are censored by default.
- IIS always returns error messages that are long

- over the five hundred and twelve bytes minimum.
- Of course, that's exactly what you're reading

Thanks Rolf, but the issue is that all browsers have the same problem with cms made simple. I don't quiet understand your answer neither. But I believe it's nothing to do with IE.

It is a problem at your webhost. Looks like the tmp folder cant be accessed. There is an config options to change it. Can remember by head what it is...
What is your system information? You can find it in the admin...

If I don't use {cms_stylesheet} but link direct tot the stylesheet (opmaak in my case), everything works as it should. Strange. If this is the solution, i'll use it.

Rolf I uploaded .htacces in the temp folder and get this message after that:
/var/www/vhosts/godt-art.nl/httpdocs/lib/smarty/Smarty.class.php:1593 - trigger_error
/var/www/vhosts/godt-art.nl/httpdocs/lib/smarty/Smarty.class.php:1415 - _fetch_resource_info
/var/www/vhosts/godt-art.nl/httpdocs/lib/smarty/Smarty.class.php:1261 - _compile_resource
/var/www/vhosts/godt-art.nl/httpdocs/lib/classes/module_support/modtemplates.inc.php:242 - fetch
/var/www/vhosts/godt-art.nl/httpdocs/lib/classes/class.CMSModule.php:2438 - cms_module_ProcessTemplateFromDatabase
/var/www/vhosts/godt-art.nl/httpdocs/modules/MenuManager/action.default.php:253 - ProcessTemplateFromDatabase
/var/www/vhosts/godt-art.nl/httpdocs/lib/classes/class.CMSModule.php:1583 - include
/var/www/vhosts/godt-art.nl/httpdocs/lib/classes/class.CMSModule.php:1628 - DoAction
/var/www/vhosts/godt-art.nl/httpdocs/lib/module.functions.php:122 - DoActionBase
/var/www/vhosts/godt-art.nl/httpdocs/plugins/function.menu.php:22 - cms_module_plugin
/var/www/vhosts/godt-art.nl/httpdocs/tmp/templates_c/%%71^715^715CF9A9%%tpl_body%3A26.php:16 - smarty_cms_function_menu
/var/www/vhosts/godt-art.nl/httpdocs/lib/smarty/Smarty.class.php:1263 - include
/var/www/vhosts/godt-art.nl/httpdocs/index.php:269 - fetch
string(70) "Smarty error: unable to read resource: "module_db_tpl:MenuManager;gap""

Does this help for the solution?

I'm going to delete all of cms made simple and reinstall the most recent version and use the trick with linking to the stylesheet. See if that makes the site. After more than a week of encouting this trouble, it's enough.
If someone comes with the answer I use {cms_stylesheet}

{stylesheet} doesn't work with the 1.11.x versions of cmsms. You can find the system information in the backend under website management. Also check after upload the permissions of the tmp-folder with your ftp-program.

Thanks for all the effort. I've solved the problem by direct linking to the stylesheets. Works fine.
