[SOLVED] Upgrading PHP 5.2.17 to 5.3

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

[SOLVED] Upgrading PHP 5.2.17 to 5.3

Post by inyerface »

I looked everywhere for an answer with no luck... and I'm not sure this is where I should be posting this question.

We are running PHP 5.2.17 and wonder if upgrading to 5.3 will interfere with any site. I think the oldest CMSMS version we’re running is 1.4.1.

Thanks!

We know of people that are running CMSMS 1.0.x on PHP 5.3 with no problems. However, the opposite is also true, people have upgraded to PHP 5.3 and their old sites have had problems.

It mostly depends on the modules, and whatever UDT's and customizations you have done.

You should upgrade anyways.... because of security vulnerabilities etc.
