paid custom work and development needed on a new web site

Hi, I am a regular user of CMSMS and have been asked to develop a new site for a photo upload site. Some of the sections below can be created using off-the-shelf modules but others may need developing or modifying.

This is a paid for job and the budget is reasonable. Please PM me if you can help with the project with time scales and costs, or any questions.

Web site brief

Web site to allow people to upload digital photos to a web site over a period of one year to them allow them to select the best to create an annual yearbook.


how does the site work - front end

The user creates an account on the front end. This then allows them to upload a set amount of photos either via their mobile phones, tablet or computer.

The front end user (once logged in) can view all their photos in a gallery, delete photos, and put them in collections (folders?). They need to be able to tag each photo with a title and brief description.

Each year the user will select the style and design of their year book from a selection of templates or choose a custom design which will cost an extra fee.

Payment: The user can either pay monthly or annually in advance. Payment will probably be taken via paypal.


How the site works: Back end

The back end system must have the facility to email individual users and all-users with various messages and marketing messages.

Once the user has selected their final images to go into the year book, the administrator is able to a zip up the collection for download or transfer out of the system.

The system needs to have a cms so the site administrator can updates pages, add pages, etc.


Mobile app

Mobile app: this can be a specific app or an app that simply opens or redirects to a simple mobile friendly web page that allows the uploading to happen and to view existing photos.


Extra Info

The original source photos must be maintained on the server. Thumbnails created for viewing etc.

There must be security to ensure the photos cannot be directly linked to once uploaded.

The design of the site must allow for additional growth, products and scalability.

Search engine optimisation must be built in.

Design and branding will be provided.
