javascript error with menumanager section_expand template

I'v tried the template "section_header" for the menumanager as described in the documentation.

Although it works quite well, IE gives the notification of a Javascript error:

'document.getElementByID'(...) is empty or not an object.

Does anyone know where this comes from?

most probably this happens when current menu items are shown as a h3 instead of a, that js file looks for a items and when it cant find it there will be an error...
