My FTP program (FileZilla) refuses to upload a file: \lib\adodb_lite\adodbSQL_drivers\postgres
Error message says 550 postgres: Not a regular file.
It's an empty file, dated 16 Dec 20120.
I used cmsmadesimple-full-diff-1.11.3-1.11.4.tar.gz
I don't see any immediate effects of not being able to upload this file, the site still works.

You can ignore that error.
Our diff generation program tries to generate a 'stub' file for files that have been deleted from the core. However, in this case an entire folder was removed. Our diff program generation program doesn't handle that well apparently, and generated a stub file anyways.
It will do no harm to have this folder on your system.
