Upgrading CMS to be compatible with new PHP 5.n

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Upgrading CMS to be compatible with new PHP 5.n

Post by bschroeder »

I have been running a website for the past 5 years
using CMS1.6.6 'Bonde'.

My hosting company recently upgraded their servers and all of my content pages come up white. They say my CMS is outdated and needs to be upgraded. They then upgraded the CMS to the latest version and found the the pages still will not load properly.

I was told by the original site developer that we need to move the site to server that would be compatible with a version of PHP earlier than 5.2.

Does anyone have any good advice for me.

There are lots of reasons why sites can be broken during upgrade. Check this forum for answers. You might want to consider to hire a professional to get this job done, if you don't know how to do it yourself.
