Installing but getting Test for Remote URL failing

Hi All,

I am getting this error:

Outgoing HTTP connections do not appear to work! Is there a firewall or some ACL for external connections? This will result in Module Manager, and potentially other functionality, failing.

The thing is I have asked my web hosts and they keep telling me that there is nothing wrong with the server. I explained what was happening, and they said that nothing was being blocked. I am absolutely stuck as to what to do, as I know that this will be needed. I am literally stuck at the install stage.

If it is my hosts, then please tell me what I need to tell them as need this working as of yesterday.

I have installed the cms on a few other servers with no problem, I have a new server and already annoyed that I cant install the cms.

Please tell me what I need to do asap.... desperate

I recently made some DNS adjustments that may be affecting this. Please try again in an hour or so.

It has been like this since around 1pm? would it matter if I continued to install the cms? as I needed it installed asap to be honest. Thanks
