MovieReview module v0.3.1

Post by ghostrifle »

Hey there,

here's the first public version of my MovieReview module:

Image

It is completly configurable over CSS tags(most of it) and some defines and smarty templates.

There's a complete help page with instructions and so on... please help me to get this thing 99.9% stable ! I've tested a lot but... yeah I'm the coder so I don't see everything....

The module has a complete administration backend (basic settings, new / editing movies) etc....

Changes:

- replaced configuration code
- added uninstall code

Re: MovieReview module v0.3.1

when I press cancel on adding a movie, I get some warnings, and a movie is added with empty fields.
I will fix this bug for the next release, thanx !
he table cms_module_moviereview_seq isn't incremented when I add a movie, should it be?
Well, I'm running mysql so I didn't need this code... I think I have to include the code for incrementing the table to support other databases than mysql.
furthermore, I did not understand the frontpage and pagealias stuff at first read... maybe you can clear it up for average user (like me Wink)
I will create a better explanation for it ;) We wanted a preview with a short description on your index page (the first page you see when opening an url). So this is this frontpage preview. The pagealias is a name of a page with content. You can set pagealiases to pages in the content manager. Well, on one of our pages is our module included so that the user can see the movie list. You have to set this pagealias for the frontpage preview, so that the module knows what page to open and give the moviereview inside of this page the needed parameters for opening the previewed movie on the frontpage.... Uhhmm... was this a better explanation ??

You can expect a fixed release 0.3.2 tomorrow 'cause we have to publish our site on sunday evening..... still a lot of work left. And yeah, of course you can use the code ;) It's GPL.

Bye, ghostrifle.....

and thanx for the "prost ";)
