Checksum never works

This is about the third time I try to do a checksum. It always fails completely.

I upload by FTP all files to the server (cmsmadesimple-1.11.2-full)

Then I go to the URL and start the installations process. On the second page it offers a checksum test. I download the actual checksum (cmsmadesimple-1.11.2-full-checksum.dat) and let the test start. On each and every entry of the list I get a "Prüfsumme stimmt nicht überein" (Checksum not correct).

In the past I had the same with all my websites but I never bothered and just went along with it - no problems.

So what am I doing wrong here? Why does the checksum test not work?

You will have to change your ftp client to "binary mode"

But I already used Binary mode during FTP upload, like described in the installation>FTP documentation.

Uhm then I don't know...
I also had troubles with checksum, but when changing this it solved the problem for me
