"Reorder Content" permission not working?

Post by Cerulean »

Checking the "Reorder Content" permissions box for Editors doesn't seem to do anything - the arrows for moving pages up or down in the list aren't shown and neither is the Reorder Pages button.

The permission is described here as "will allow for people to have limited ability to re-order their own pages".

Activating the "Manage All Pages" permission results in all pages being visible to Editors and I want to avoid that.

Is there a trick to getting the "Reorder Content" permission to work?

I've just come across this as well. It's a bug. Interestingly for me, though, is that I can reorder pages that have a parent page. The rest are stuck as they are for all users/groups without the 'Manage All Pages' permission (as far as I can tell).

I couldn't find a bug report filed for this so created one here: http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/bug/view/8401
