CMSMS change special charaters to web-friendly

Hi,

When using "special characters" in page alias or FEU's user name, CMSMS change characters automatically to web-friendly. How or can I change it?

What it do now:
ä -> ae
ö -> oe

And what I want:

ä -> a
ö -> o

Is this possible?
