ScriptDeploy Problem

using ScriptDeploy on a CMSMS 1.9 install. Problem I'm running into is that when I edit the CSS file and Submit... I keep getting a main page error stating: can't open file

I'm glad I backup, so I can try again, but keep getting error...

they happen at smarty load time....

any ideas ?

That version of CMSMS is too old to support, please to upgrade, you may be having permission issues with the folder it is supposed to be in...
