Support for earlier versions (Security mainly)?

I tried to search the info, but couldn't find it. This is simple, but also quite critical question.

I'm not sure how CMS Made Simple development team supports older versions. Like if Joomla.org releases version 2, they'll release security updates for version 1.5 for about a year.

So how it is with CMS Made Simple? If I have a site that uses CMSMS 1.9.4.3., should I update the site to 1.11. or can I still use 1.9.4.3. -version knowing that if critical security issues occurs, team will release 1.9.4.4.?

always upgrade to the latest version in casu 1.11; all previous versions are no longer supported, so there will never come a version 1.9.4.4
