The person using this cms shouldn't have admin rights, but will be adding/editing pages, news, galleries, etc. and therefore needs acces to File Manager. I chose the group Editor and checked the "Advanced usage of the File Manager module" and File manager does show in a dropdown menu, but on the page itself it's only a template, File manager doesn't work.
Using 1.10.3 "Hyacinthe"
Group permissions - enabling uploading files for non-admin
Re: Group permissions - enabling uploading files for non-adm
Try the permission "Modify Files" in stead
"Advanced usage of the File Manager module" just can give an editor access to all directories, so not only the ones under root/uploads/
You probably don't want to allow that.
