How should I present files to my client?

The place to talk about things that are related to CMS Made simple, but don't fit anywhere else.

How should I present files to my client?

Post by misstheresa2009 »

Hello Everyone!

I am just getting started with CMS and I need some advice. I design websites for people and normally I put their html files in one folder and the photoshop files in another. Now, when I add CMS to an html site should I keep these files in a new php folder or should they go into the html folder. My service includes a static website and a CMS.

Thanks, everyone! :)

Miss Theresa, your assumption is wrong. In a CMS you don't have a folder with HTML files, and another with photoshop files.
Your content is stored in a database, you may store images, documents etc. in one or more directories.
Before you start using CMS Made Simple (or any other CMS) I advise you to read a bit about the principles of CMS so you at least have a notion about what a CMS is.
And have a look at our wiki: http://wiki.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php/Main_Page

as I mentioned in another post of yours - http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/viewtopi ... =8&t=61226 -, you must transfer your template, css and content manually into cms made simple.
