<SOLVED>Will changing admin folder name mess up site?

Post by RyanC »

Hi, with a site that is online and being used by people already, will changing the name of the admin folder affect the site at all? Will any of the pages be affected by this? Or is this only something you should do at the install phase?

Thanks

You should be able to rename it at any time, as long as you set the variable in config.php.

The front end will be fine, it is the backend that will go wonky if you don't change the paths in config.php...
