front end user templates [SOLVED]

Post by secondskin »

hey guys,
I'm pretty new to cmsms and have been trying out the feu module.
One thing i can't figure out is how to edit or even see the templates? When i click on the template tags in the FEU admin, there's nothing there, not even an 'add template' option.. I've searched through the documentation and these boards but cannot find an answer!

I'm using CMS version 1.10.3, FEU 1.17.1

If you go to Users & Groups » Frontend User Management and don't see anything when you click Login Template or one of the other Template tabs something is wrong with your CMSMS/FEU install...

Do you have any yellow ! or red X in your system info page?...

hi,

Just checked, no yellow or red markers on the system info other than one to say that my config.php is writable.

It's odd as I also have installed feu on an earlier version of CMS (1.9.4.2) and the templates show up fine, despite the fact that on this installation I have a yellow ! for PHP safe mode on, and a red X for Save Session Path. Could it just be a glitch with FEU on the newest version?

Maybe something went wrong in the installation process, did you try reinstalling frontendusers?

I've just tried removing then re-installing FEU but it makes no difference, still can't see the templates. Has anyone else had this problem with newest version CMS?

just noticed something else, FEU templates no longer showing in the older installation of CMS! Very confused now.. could this be some kind of server issue? I can't see any other reason why they would disappear from one session to another..

Have you tried a different browser? Or disabling browser plugins like adblockplus?

I just upgraded to 1.17.1 and noticed that one of my templates was empty. The solution for me was to use the 'Defaults' button which gives you the default template markup.

I was using safari and just returned to Firefox. All templates are now visible across all versions.. I should never have left the 'fox!

btw, atdesign, what do mean by the Defaults button?

thanks to all for the tips!
