No News Module interface at backend.

1.10.3 "Hyacinthe", hosted on Arvixie

The news items that have been posted are all visible and functioning correctly.
When I log in as the admin user I cannot see anything but a blank white page in Chrome. In IE 9 I get the tabs on the page; ie Articles, Categories, Field Definitions etc, but nothing more.

I have flushed the cache....

Any suggestions how to proceed?

If I uninstall the module and reinstall, will I lose all the posts... there are many

And if I right click on the blank white admin page in Chrome and ask to see the page source... all the code seems to be there! I can read the code but nothing shows.

If I click on inspect element in the white space it suggests there is a module interface Get Error, but I do not know how to interpret this.

Worse case you could export all the news items tables in the DB then uninstall it and install it then import the items tables...
