Problem FTP-ing Images.

Post by djkirstyjay »

I can't seem to FTP any images to the uploads folder. I hve lots of images that need to be added, however I can only do it via CMSMS and I have to do them one by one, so it's taking me ages. Both my FTP clients will not let me upload the images or folders at all.

Can anyone advise me on what the problem might be?

Also, in addition, I have created folders in the image manager and I can't see them, so it's impossible to upload to them!

Which FTP clients do you use?  I find FileZilla excellent (and free).

I use Terrapin, or Dreamweaver, if I can't be bothered to switch screens. I have never had a problem with either before... however dreamweaver is a bit crap for CHMOD-ing.

I found a Dreamweaver Extension to change file permissions, problem I can't remember where I got it from.  Maybe a search on google will help you.  It was a free one and all you do is right click in remote view and change it from there.
