CTLModuleMaker parseFloat() error

I am trying to use the CTLModuleMaker and whenever I try to add a float field to my entities I get this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function parseFloat() in /home/pathtomyCMS/modules/CTLModuleMaker/subaction.levels2.php on line 109

I am running on:
PHP Version 5.2.17
CMSMS 1.9.4.2 "Faanui"
CTLModuleMaker 2.0.3

Anyone encountered this issue?
