Help me style Form Builder

Post by martinX »

I'm building a simple site with a two column css layout. On the contact page i have a Form Builder contact form. I use the default template and css for this and to me it looks like crap. The text-fields are vertically very narrow, the spacing of text are vertically uneven http://img864.imageshack.us/img864/1539/contactx.png

What i want it to accomplish is a simple but modern looking contact-form with even-spaced bold "enter-text" fields like the one in the footer of this site http://www.i-arts.eu/bizbuzz/sitemap

I only have basic knowledge of css styling and no knowledge of css styling Form Builder (i did som trial and error but did not get much smarter). I know the page main css affects how the form looks but its all confusing to me since i have no clue how the form builder css works.

I have spent considerable time googling Form Builder styling and i have not came up with much.
If someone has a easy fix for what please share. If thats not possible tell me where to read up.

This is my first post in this forum and if there is already a thread about styling Form Builder that i missed please forgive my lazy ass.

You can look at the source of that page and find the style sheet link, open that and look at the bottom for the form styles...

It helps to have a link to your site...

I found it pretty hard to figure out the formbuilder css (and its template dependencies) by checking out websites that use it. But anyways i found this:

http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/viewtopic.php?t=23386
after installation i found the css pretty easy to understand and tweak. On my site (its under construction and might be down) it now looks like this:

Thanks very much for your input!
