The new WYSIWYG editor is awful, what do you recommend?

Post by Sponsi »

Hi,

The editor you've changed to with 1.10 is awful. It doesn't allow to add images from directory, like TinyMCE - it just has some 10 functionalities and that's all. FAIL...

Anyway, there seems to be only TinyMCE as the other choice. However, it doesn't work properly (can't enter directories in the 'choose image' browser). Besides, the CMS MS version is kind of old and it (TinyMCE) generally stinks (can't save edited articles in Opera, just like Joomla's TinyMCE).

So the question to you people out there is what editor do you recommend?

Thanks.

Luckily I'm in a good mood, so I'll respond in a helpful way to your insults.

Extensions->MicroTiny->Settings->Allow Images.

Shoot... what else have they turned off?
Incredible. Thank you.

You know, to dig to any useful information in either the docs or this forum (simply don't know what to write into 'search', it gives numerous rubbish results) is very difficult.

The only complaint I have with MicroTiny is that it's ugly (dark background behind the buttons).. I like the clean look of the regular Tiny.

Tick the static config checkbox.

I have tinyMCE working fine in 1.10.3. You're not the only one who doesn't like the replacement.
