[Solved] Make fresh 1.10 install and import 1.9.x content?

Can I make a fresh 1.10 install, import the page content from the latest 1.9.x version? This is because I get a critical error when installing 1.10 over the 1.9.x and can not find a solution. It would give a cleanup too...

I think I would need to import

- Pages / page structure
- CGnews content and structure
- The page Template (only using one) so I guess I can simply copy the content?

- I assume I can not backup the old db and restore it to the new site?

- Some Cms MLE stuff, but that can be copied manually
- A couple of tags can be recreated manually

Nothing more.

I can skip FEU and Gallery seems to build itself. Back end users are only a few. Can re-create them.

I have the original site running so i can tinker with the new one until it works but I would need some help.

I am thinking of the possibility of

- installing the needed modules on the 1.10
- dump needed 1.9.x tables to file
- dropping those tables from 1.10
- read back the 1.9.x tables to the 1.10 install

Is this possible?

The CGContentUtils module can do 'some' of this. But I wouldn't use it for this purpose. Best bet is to find out what the problem is you are experiencing.

I have solved my problem, it was a config file mistake by me.

But it may still be interesting to be able to import content.

I see there is a "Import_Content" module, but all? documentation is in Russian?

Useful for importing content over versions?
