Upgrade to 1.10

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Upgrade to 1.10

Post by osxfil »

Hi all,
i have problem with upgrade to version 1.10 - on step 6 i see only thanks for updating and i can't continue to step 7. Site on front end is blank and Activity monitor in Safari Browser says that there is server error.
All modules was up-to-date and system check in upgrade process reported no problem.

Please look at your php error log, it is possible that you have a incompatible module or udt in use.

Look in your Hosting Control Panel, Webspace.
If you don't know where these are or can't access these you should contact your Host.

Please follow "How to Upgrade" steps as described in Announcement post http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/viewtopi ... =1&t=57370
Your Problem is most possibly due to a Module, Plugin or UDT incompatibility.

Ok, decided to give it a go here to, but also fail on step 6 with an almost blank page, so...
uniqu3 wrote:Please look at your php error log, it is possible that you have a incompatible module or udt in use.
and I see this:
PHP Fatal error: Cannot override final method CMSModule::GetModulePath() in /var/www/DMZ/test/modules/Captcha/lib/classes/module/class.captcha.php on line 1048

1048 is near teh end of the file
} // end of class Captcha <---- 1048

?>

so, have no idea where to go from there! Capta is 0.4.3, and I cant see an updat option in admin.

can anyone point me in the right direction?

thanks

Sorry guys, just been looking in another thread and it suggests captcha is the problem not cmsms.

So, how can I check and update the various modules. If one is no longer supported can I get help in tracking the error down?

Have I gone for the upgrade too soon, not leaving developers time to upgrade modules?

Yes, like it says in the announcement the New cmsms version 1.10 will break some modules. The update was released less then 24 hours ago, please give the module developer some time..

Or follow the instructions in the release notes and upgrade modules first before upgrading CMSMS.

Captcha has already been fixed... you just didn't follow instructions.
