[SOLVED] CG Ecom. modules sends duplicate order conf. emails

For questions and problems with the CMS core. This board is NOT for any 3rd party modules, addons, PHP scripts or anything NOT distributed with the CMS made simple package itself.

CMS Version: 1.9.4.2
Current PHP Version: 5.3.1
mySQL: 5.1.41
Apache: 2.2.17
CMS Version: 1.9.4.2
OS: Windows Vista 32bit Service Pack 2

Ecommerce Modules Installed
CGSimpleSmarty: 1.4.8
CGExtensions: 1.26.6
FrontEndUsers: 1.15
SelfRegistration: 1.6.12
CustomContent: 1.7.3
CGEcommerceBase: 1.3.5
Products: 2.13.3
Cart: 1.8.1
CGPaymentGatewayBase: 1.0.11
Orders: 1.13
PaypalGateway: 2.3.5

Each successfull order through PayPal returns to the site and sends multiple, duplicate order confirmation emails to admin (9 so far) but no emails to the buyer!
Strange thing is I also get this happening on my local copy of the site.

Anyone else experiencing this?
Where should I start looking? Is it my payment gateway settings?

I'm answering my own question. From memory it was caused by the PayPal IPN not setup up correctly.
