client can save changes but they don't publish live

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

client can save changes but they don't publish live

Post by nmorgan »

Hello:

This is the strangest thing. I can save changes and they go live. My client can save changes and she can see the changes in the editor but they don't go live. I've had them try Firefox (they were on Explorer) with no luck.

We were using TinyMCE and will try on the other editor. I just wanted to see if you guys had any idea how to troubleshoot this one.

Thanks!

Clear Cache in global settings. If that makes the changes visible, then you have an timezone issue which causes caching.

TZ can be specified in config.php.

Ronny,

Thanks for your quick response. I cleared the cache in global settings and checked the config file. We are both in central USA time zone and so that was correct.

I'm in MS, my client in TX.

On my computer I can make changes and view the changes.

They have made changes in TX which save to the page editor but do not show up on the live site either here or from my browser in MS. When I login to the page they edited it is not there.

The strangest thing is that I had this site on a development server (hostgator) and we all can make and view changes there.

I moved the entire site to Eleven2 server. I tried to call Eleven2 and they say it is not their issue.

Any ideas to help solve this are greatly appreciated.

BTW, I ftp'd the files over manually.
