Is PHP Safe Mode on or off?

Hi,

I've got several websites running with CMS Made Simple for some customers. Two customers have both version 1.9.4.2, but are running on different servers (providers).

One is working without problems but the other is running with errors. CMSMS says that PHP Safe Mode is turned on, but when I check the server, it's off. Therefor ModuleManager won't work.

Could anyone tell me why CMSMS is telling me that Safe Mode is turned on although it's turned off? The provider has also checked this for me and he's telling me that on the server it's off, but CMSMS doesn't think so!
