new install from 8.2 to 9.0

Post by webby57 »

Installation went well but when I wanted to go to file management

I get this error:

fatal error: Cannot redeclare class cmsobject in lib/classes/class.global.inc.php on line 36

Also, when I go to admin page the style sheet goes away and when I refresh the page it comes back to normal...

Can you help?

Very strange. I don't see anything out of the ordinary in files.php that would cause that. Maybe a bad upload of all of your files to your host?

What would be my best bet?

Do I have to re-install 9.0 and redo the upgrade???

Actually can I make a clean install from scratch? Would I loose any files on the uploads directory or my menu structure?

You're not the only one getting this error. We're trying to work it out with someone on the IRC channel.

What version of PHP and what platform are you on?

I got it to work

I got it to work and get the fatal error away....

It's probably a temporary fix but it works :-)

I took the admin directory from version 8.2 and replaced only files.php
menu.php and plugins.php I also add the themes directory.

Everything works fine now.

Cheers.

I hope you will find a fix for the next version...

Cheers.
