[solved] custom 404 error

Hi

In older cmsms versions there was a way to customise the 404 error. I have migrated an existing site to cmsms and there are many links to old pages which no longer exist. Was this function removed in later versions?

There's too many pages to make individual 301 redirects.

My host has the facility to generate custom 404 errors, but says that the .htaccess that I use for the mod_rewrite is stopping it from working.

Ideally I just want any requests for non-existing pages to end up on the index page.

Any ideas?

You can add a new page and set the Content Type from "Content" to "Error Page"

All the sites I have created with cmsms and I never noticed that content type!!!.
