HTML Editor in TinyMCE not showing

Post by simoncarter »

Hi All

We have installed successfully and transferred a template from another sister site using CMS Made Simple - all is working fine other than when we go to the new site and click on the HTML button it shows a blank white popup with no buttons to exit, all you can do is navigate back using the address bar.

They are on the same server and the HTML editing works fine on the other site. Does anyone have any ideas please?

Kind Regards

Simon

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the TinyMCE module?

Thanks for your reply.

The strange thing is, it works on another site on the same hosting server/package.

Also - when we go to upload a photo into a page it does not show properly?

CMSMS version etc. really helps us help you, I know June 15, 2011 doesn't seem that long ago but in CMSMS time it is...

Very sorry. Yes, of course versions. Latest version of everything.

If you have any ideas, that would be great.

Tried selecting the "use static config" option on. Crashed 2.9.1, and did nothing for 2.9.4 & 2.9.5.

OK what are the permissions on the modules and tiny folders, there are some older threads on how to get tiny to work and this is one of the tricks, mine needs them to be 755 to work...

Hi, not sure about permissions. It's hosted on a Windows server and I never had any issues with permissions in the past.

I'll keep plugging at it...thanks for your help.

I am having the same problem as wms. I get no browse to images or files icon in tinyMCE.

I have tried uninstalling and installing a previous version without results. Also tried ticking static configuration. Empty cache etc.

I hope someone can figure this out as my boss doesn't want me to use microTiny on our customer sites due to the lack of image upload option. He has even told me to find another CMS system if I can't get it working :( And I don't have a clue what to do. Never had this problem before installing 1.10.

I'm also having the same issue. I've tried MicroTiny but I don't like it at all. I don't think it gives the editor the freedom they might need. I like TinyMCE because I can add or remove plugins and have more control so I can tailor it to the editor....

Right now though all I want to do is install TincyMCE and have no joy! Using CMSMS version 1.10.3. Have tried all the suggestions as above. i.e amending the permissions, ticking the static config box etc.
