Cataloger: SMARTY method to retreive item attributes?

I was playing around with Cataloger this morning and was wondering if there was an existing method via SMARTY to retreive item attributes inline with other content (e.g. {cms_module module='Cataloger' action='getAtt' alias='itemAlias' attribute='price'}). My guess, after scanning through some of the code is no.
