FEUSERS + IFRAME = Effective Caching?

I've had several projects that use the FrontendUsers module to allow customers to login to the site. But the majority of pages on the site are do not have user-specific content.

I'm thinking about using an Iframe for the FEU login/status form to allow the main page to be cached, but still show who is logged in.

I was wondering if anyone else has tried this kind of thing?
