Testers Mailing List

Post by Ted »

Well, I've tried doing this in the past, but as usual, I forget about things.

Anyway....

As we get a bigger user base, testing becomes more and more important before a release. Our rc cycle is getting longer and more thorough that it's ever been, and it's a good thing!

So, I'd like to reinstate the testers mailing list. This is mostly for people who have an environment and likes to take the time to test out the rc releases to make sure they are bug free. It's a great help to the project, and really necessary since I don't have the resources (read: time) to do this all myself...

I really don't usually like mailing lists, but in this particular case, it's a great way to make sure that everyone is up to date with new betas and rc releases without them having to read EVERY message in the forum everyday. :)

If you're interested, sign up. It's a low traffic list and shouldn't cause you too much of a headache.

http://lists.cmsmadesimple.org/mailman/listinfo/testers is the URL to go to if you're interested. There probably won't be any posts on there until the next release.

I might setup a couple of other mailing lists too, though, I don't want them to be the main part of our communication. It's too formal and requires too much effort to setup, subscribe, and then wade through all the crap that you don't care around reading... But, they're good for announcements and things like that.

Thanks!
