upgrading from 1.8.2 to 1.9.3

hi everyone

i'v a question.
i want to upgrade from 1.8.2 to 1.9.2. can i do this in one big step or most i do this in more litle steps.
And what kind of install do i need? The full or the base install??

and are there things that i most aware for??

You can do this in one step. Always make a backup of your files and your database first!

the full or the base package depends on your needs. The full package contains all languages. The base package contains only English, but you can add languages with the separate language packages.

I myself always use the base package and the Dutch language package
