Sample picture under "News"-category (ext: News?)

Post by Mentalbox »

Hi. Took me 2min of experimenting to find something that wasn't as the name of this CMS suggests, "simple", and rather extremely provoking; 'cus I usually find it at least in 5min, but I've been searching for about 15min or so now for the god damn function to put or remove pictures from there.....

Ok, so what am I talking about?
After having installed CMSMS with Sample data, the "News" category displayed on the left side will have a default page "News Installed" something something, with a "footager" screenshot'ish picture below it. The page "News Installed" or whatever does not actually contain the picture. If you delete the page, the screenshot/picture will still be there. And where is it located? Even the picture isn't in /images/, it's in bloody "/uploads/NCleanBlue/screen-1.6.jpg".
Grrrrrr, I get so provoked from illogical structures...... >:(

Thumbs up for everything else, this CMSMS certainly looks cleaner and simpler than any other CMS I've used.

That is part of the template not part of page content, these templates/themes are only for showing how it can done, examples, you should know a little about html/css when you go to change them...

Good reply.

Not as good. I didn't actually ask or insinuate not to know what Sample data is.
All I did was ask how to edit this out; a way for me to find out about all the features and find out how to customize everything, which I most likely will need later on if I decide to actually use CMSMS.
I'm just "lazy" really, and just wanna get the hang of it the easiest and fastest way, not having to seriously open up every PHP file and spend weeks on learning every PHP code to try analyze how this system works. I wish intelligent (simple yet sophisticated) manuals/tutorials were a mandatory standard with every product in the world :P

PS: I actually found where to edit this, indeed the template-file itself, only about 1-2 min after the creation of this thread.
Couldn't edit it because post/thread needed approval :)
