Multilanguage

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Multilanguage

Post by Berick »

Hi there

I am new to CMSms and wanted to install a multi language site. I found the post about MLE but the links do not work and in CMSms 1.9.1 I cant figure out how to install a second language.

Can anyone help me?

Oh and I got this error on the front page:

Code: Select all

Warning: Parameter dateformat is not known by module News dropped in /home/benj/public_html/lib/misc.functions.php on line 1631
Cheers
Berick

From last News module version:

Important Notes
Version 2.9 and greater of News has removed the formatpostdate member from the templates, and has also removed the dateformat parameter.  You should be using the cms_date_format modifier (as indicated in the default templates) to format dates, and should be using entry->postdate instead of entry->formatpostdate in your templates.

Dear Berick,

MLE used to be a "fork" of the official CMSMS. This is no longer the case and what's more important, it's not supported...
Cfr: http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 405.0.html

imho this is your best/safest bet: http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 112.0.html
it uses the main CMSMS release and lets you or your users fill out aliases for pages in different languages but still uses separate content trees. a single content tree solution is not available/supported at the moment (or not to my knowledge)

Greetings,
Manuel

Hi,

I am following this as well, stopped the MLE version (luckily).
For now Manuel's Link to Rolf's description (how to) is the best advise
for a multi language installation.

Good Luck,
Jan
