News/CGBlog won't save, log me out?

Something odd happening lately with the News/CGBlog modules -- when I hit "Submit," instead of publishing the article, I get kicked back out to the login screen?  No error message, but the article isn't saved.

This is new, both modules have been working OK for a year.

I know this install needs an update, but the really weird part is it works fine on my locally installed backup copy.  Makes me wonder if an update would solve it, or is it a server issue?

Anyone dealt with this?
