chmod777?

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

chmod777?

Post by Justinr »

Trying to install CMS 1.8.2 using cPanel when I ran up against the following message after logging out of cPanel and re-entering website as instructed. Can't seem to work my way around this one.

Directory not writable! /home/f553809/public_html/tmp/templates_c
Please correct by executing: chmod 777 or set writing permission for php process, exiting!

When I'm in cPanel file manager I can see the permissions on the far right, you should be able to click on the folder and then hit the permissions button up top to change it to 777, you may want to check the others at the same time, modules, tmp, tmp/cache, uploads, uploads/images...

Many thanks for the reply but alas no joy. Have changed all the permissions to 777 (they came up as 0777, if that makes a difference) but still the same message appears.
