News module customising

Post by swarfega »

Please see: http://thriplow.org.uk/cms/index.php?page=news.

The news is a bit of a mess at the moment. You can see 2 lots of category lists and I want to remove the one at the top. There are also two posting dates and I need to remove the one above the headings. Also for some reason the first paragraph is in bold. And on some of the posts the date is down the right hand side. I would also like to have a list of all the posts listed down the right side under the categories. Does the news module make a new page after so many posts, if not how could that be achieve?

The categories at the top come from the category call at the top of the news summary template that tells you how to remove it at the bottom of it before you get to the part, as for removing any of the other parts you need to go thru the template and remove them, if you want to limit the number of news items shown look to the new help page for the parameters needed...
