Installing 1.8.2 problem- admin console shows only straight links. No graphics.

I have just installed 1.8.2 but there seems to be a problem. The admin colse, page listings etc are missing their graphics so that the console etc looks like this, if you see what I mean:

ps for the record I have installed probably about a dozen CMSMS site, and this is the first time I have had a problem like this, and it is also the first time I have tried to install 1.8.xx. Is there a connection?

Your cmsms version (base/full)?
What file checksum dat use?
Is it a error when you run checksum or after you upload checksum dat file?
Have you re-upload your files?
Enable debug in config.php? == Edit config.php and switch true $config['debug'] = false;

OK thanks.

However, how precisely should be used please? The admin. console for the CMSMS site won't allow me to use it as it defaults back to the checksum file on my desktop. I can't load it via the web either.

Ah! I've got it. at last!

I should check the proper checksum against what I already have!! Bingo.

Seriously, if this does not owrk for me, I am considering ditching the 1.8.2 and installing a tried and tested version of CMSMS, my latest one being 1.7.1, that has worked for me on a number of occasions.

Well, sort of solved. I ditched 1.8.2 and installed, successfully, 1.8.0
