[SOLVED] Can't install the CMSMS Version 1.8.2

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

[SOLVED] Can't install the CMSMS Version 1.8.2

Post by RikBradley »

Hi, I am trying to install CMSMS Version 1.8.2 onto my server. I am using FTP to upload the CMSMS files, however when I go to www.mydomain.com/install/index.php, I receive this message:

Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/homepages/38/d338444077/htdocs/fileloc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php') in /homepages/38/d338444077/htdocs/install/index.php on line 35

I have looked around the forum for help, but the couple of threads I can find with a similar problem were solved by simply re-uploading all the files. I have tried this 3 or 4 times now, but get the same Fatal Error message each time.

I am trying to install this onto a 1and1 hosted server, and I successfully installed CMSMS Version 1.7.1 a couple of months ago onto another 1and1 hosted server with no problems. I don't have much php experience, however I installed the version correctly at the time without having to change any file permissions or do any tinkering.

I have tried installing Version 1.7.1 today to see if this would work, however I get the same type of error message.

I am probably making a very basic error, however any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Rik

Yes, you are right!

I found this link on another forum thread, and this sorted me out:
