My website, www.dmdecos.com, has a catalogue through which we display products. Each category of products has a subpage where specific products are described, then there is a link to the gallery for that product. We are losing a lot of visitors there because they have already come in 2-3 pages and they just don't go any further. How can I get the gallery for the product to be that subpage -- how do I tell CMSMS to go to the gallery page as the subpage? Example: go to Catalogue>Natural Stone>Marble and you will see the subpage structure we have now -- it's like a landing page and that is what I want to eliminate. I would like to go straight to Catalogue>Natural Stone>Marble Gallery.
Thanks!
Susan
Gallery - show directly on page rather than linking to pages in Gallery
Re: Gallery - show directly on page rather than linking to pages in Gallery
Why don't you put the {Gallery} tag right after the text in the page "marble" in stead of the link "Click here to view our gallery"
Re: Gallery - show directly on page rather than linking to pages in Gallery
another way would be to move the text from the 'landing page' and put it in the gallery's summary field, then link to the gallery page from the preceding one directly. but it'd be easier (for menu generation, etc) to just add the gallery tag below the text on the landing page as it exists now.

Re: Gallery - show directly on page rather than linking to pages in Gallery
Thanks for your quick reply! This sounds easy -- but how do I send it to the specific gallery I want them to see? (The marble gallery instead of just the main gallery page.)

I found this link in the wiki documentation: http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 553.0.html

OK, I don't really understand how to make that work... isn't there some sort of way to modify the {Gallery} tag so that it goes to the right "album"? If I just put the tag in as is, it goes to the page that shows all of my "albums."

specify the gallery to show in the tag.. see module help.corn4th wrote: OK, I don't really understand how to make that work... isn't there some sort of way to modify the {Gallery} tag so that it goes to the right "album"? Re: Gallery - show directly on page rather than linking to pages in Gallery
perhaps this topic explains it better to call the right subgallery automatically with the page alias:
