Hi,
I do a fresh clean installation of the latest CMSmadesimple version 1.7.1.
The installation files were uploaded via ftp (all files are there - I double checked that).
I CHMODed the needed directories, created DB and config.php file.
I downloaded cmsmadesimple-1.7.1-full-checksum.dat file.
Now my problem -> the installation DOES NOT pass the first Checksum test>
I get many errors all of them saying "Checksum does not match!" (example ../public_html/index.php).
When checking those files I can see that they DO exist and have the same size.
Where could be a problem?

I also had the problem on three sites, that checksum didn't match, but I didn't have problems with installation. So in my case I decided to install anyway and all sites work correctly.davidb wrote: When checking those files I can see that they DO exist and have the same size.

In worst case you can redo the installation if you have problems.

I have the same problem, the checksum function seems broken. You may skip this step, just make sure all files are there with proper size.

The checksum functionality is not broken, it's a PEBKAC problem.
use 'BINARY' mode when uploading files.

I have again uploaded all the files via Filezilla in Binary mode (of course from my Windows computer). The checksum test gives me the same error. Am I doing something wrong here?

Wow, it really works, thanks. (with TotCom, binary mode)
But now it's even more stranger why I can't get to Installation step 2. (blank screen error, see the topic below in the list)

I've had the same problem whenever I uploaded via ftp. Didn't matter if I had it set to binary mode or automatic, the checksum never matched. When I uploaded and unzipped via shell the checksum matched, so I guess it does have something to do with the ftp uploading.
But the installation with the non-matching checksum works just fine, no problems at all.
