Will Made Simple be any good for this?

HI,

I am looking for a script which will enable a secretary who knows zip about it, to change images and text every now and then on pages.

The format of the page will be exactly the same (products within tables) just the product text, name and images will change.

Is CMSMade Simple overkill for this?

Any CMS is good if you want to change data without messing with tempate (tables and other html elements).
There are dozen of modules that can do job you mentioned (even News module can do that).
To set up templates is easy job for developer but not for inexperienced user.
After it is done - usage is simple - any secretary is capable to maintaining information.
