Checksum Error Installing Forum Module

Post by jduffy »

Hi All,

I just installed CMSMS 1.7.1 and I would like to include a discussion forum on my site.

1. When I try to install the 'Forum' module in the "Module Manager", I get the following error:

----------
Error!

Checksum error. This probably indicates a corrupt file, either when it was uploaded to the repository, or a problem in transit down to your machine.
expected: a7eca722d3571e84cc8fcbecd0890ab8 and got 6041e607e7458a95c59b7725b283e37e
----------

Does anyone know what could be causing this? I'm trying to install Forum 0.9.4 and was able to install the dependencies.

2. I find posts about a module called "Forum Made Simple" but I can't find it in the Module Manager. Is this the same module as Forum?

Thanks for the help and best regards,

Jim

The one you see in ModuleManager is definately the same as Forum Made Simple in the Forge.

Maybe some limitations in your PHP settings are the couse.
You could try to download the xml file here: http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/project/files/230 and then upload it to your site with the page under Extensions > Modules

Hope that helps.
