[solved]pb php version on install with FREE

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

[solved]pb php version on install with FREE

Post by orb42 »

hello, I began an install on FREE servers and at the beginning  on checking permissions and php configuration, with the php verification version PHP 5.2.4+
(mini 5.2.4, recommanded 5.2.12 or more I got a red cross with "You got 5.1.3RC4-dev".

I had uploaded file ".htaccess" with:

# PHP-5

PHP 1

can this be solved??

After the info you give that host run on PHP 5.1.3. That is not supported for CMSMS 1.7 and up.
If you host let you change php version - you have to set it to be above 5.2.4.

How? Ask you host....

ok i found that it works with CMSMS 1.6.7 (php5.1) instead of 1.7.0 (php5.2)
i think both CMSMS versions are quiet the same?

1.6.7 and 1.7.0 are rather similar. I do not think 1.6.X will be supported for long time. You can expect nothing more than some security related upgrades for it. So keep in mind that 1.6.7 is temporal solution only.
