move from folder to root

i move my site from multiintech.com/cmsite/  to  multiintech.com/ nother words move it from folder to root, and use the same DB just change the config.php to reflect changes, and keep  multiintech.com/cmsite/ and it uses the same DB, Question? if i make changes to one will it change both? 
guess i'll find out, any body know?

don't understand your question  ... if both installations are using the same one database, you will see database changes in both installations ...

So another funny thing is possible too:

Make one cmsms installation on your internet server and one cmsms installation on your local server (xampp or so other). If your provider allow this and you change the config.php of your local installation to the right values you can write with your local installation to your internet database without access to your internet cmsms installation  .
